Poetry was introduced to me by a friend, and the first poetry book that I read was named Home by Whitney Hanson.

Though brief, short sentences carry a profound meaning that resonates deeply within my heart and soul. It mainly focused on Healing, and I love that because I found myself in a stage of healing myself.

Songs and Music, Quote and Poetry, I adore their ability to convey emotions straight from the soul.

I feel so resonated with Home by Whitney Hanson. Through all of the poetry books that I have read so far, here are some bits and pieces that I want to share:

“I stay because although I’m treated poorly
I find comfort in the surety of knowing exactly what I’m getting.
I like control” — Home, Whitney Hanson

However,

“Don’t stay because you’re comfortable
This is not your home” — Home, Whitney Hanson

“Home isn’t the destination
It’s the place where you catch your breath
Get back on your feet
And continue the journey” — Home, Whitney Hanson

“The princess jumped from the tower &
She learned that she could fly all along” — The Princess Save Herself in This One, Amanda Lovelace

“I am a lioness who is no longer afraid to let the world hear her roar.” — The Princess Save Herself in This One, Amanda Lovelace

“It takes grace to remain kind in cruel situations” — Milk and Honey, Rupi Kaur

These will be kept here to share and serve as a reminder for my future self, who may find herself lost in her journey.
